THURSDAY, October 3

Bin on the Lake Hosts Wine and Willapa Cheese Dinner
Bin on the Lake Wine Bar and Restaurant
is hosting its very own four-course wine and cheese dinner at the Woodmark hotel. Savor artisan cheese from Willapa Hills Cheese Farm, sip on selected wines from Washington, and enjoy the water view of Lake Washington. The event starts at 6:30. Tickets are $90 and available online

Brew at the Zoo
What’s better than drinking a brew while watching cute and cuddly lions play? Absolutely nothing. Come to Brew at the Zoo at Woodland Park Zoo starting at 5:30 to enjoy a few and get your animal fix. Beer and cider from over 30 breweries will be available to try and there will be a buffet of munchies. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased here.


FRIDAY, October 4

Free Tacos at Taco Time NW Locations
Tacos, tacos, tacos. Free, free, free. Taco Time NW is excited to give away tacos, specificaly its crisp beef tacos anytime at all 74 Taco Time NW locations. Have a fiesta with your friends…for free. 

Great Pumpkin Beer Festival
Help bring in fall the right way by going to the three-day Great Pumpkin Beer Festival at Elysian's  production brewery in Georgetown. More than 60 pumpkin beers will be available to try from brewers near and far. And to make it better, there will be giant pumpkins filled with beer. Yes, you heard right. Doughnuts, ice cream, and other treats will also be available. Pumpkin festivities will kick off at 4:00. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online. 

SATURDAY, October 5

Northwest Tea Festival
The annual Northwest Tea Festival at the Fisher Pavillion in the Seattle Center runs Saturday and Sunday; it's a great time to brush up on your tea trivia, as well as enjoy a cup or two for yourself. A porcelain tasting cup is provided upon entry to try the arrangement of teas available. This festival offers classes and lectures on the leaves and exhibits several vendors from all over.  Tea time starts at 10:00 and there is a suggested donation of $10.  

TUESDAY, October 8

Yes on 522 Happy Hour with Maria Hines
Chef Maria Hines will be hosting happy hour at Tilth to talk about Initiative 522, the ballot initiative for labeling genetically engineered food in Washington. Have some sangria, enjoy some snacks, and get educated about this initiative. Hines will share her opinion of the matter, and the campaign staff will be giving updates. Happy hour will start at 3:30.

For the Love of the Bulb: Lombardi's Garlic Fest
Back after a five-year hiatus, Lombardi’s Italian Restaurants are excited to welcome everyone to their Garlic Fest. From drinks to dishes to dessert, garlic is featured in everything. Show off your tasting skills by participating in the Guess How Many Garlic Cloves contest for the grand prize of free weekly lunch a year. Come to the Everett and Mill Creek locations anytime through October 13 to celebrate the love of the bulb. Tip: If you are on a date, bring mints. Lots of mints.
