Ruth Reichl at the Dahlia Lounge
The food writer, Twitter poetess, and author of Delicious! A Novel will be signing copies of her book while chef Brock Johnson creates a three-course lunch inspired by Reichl's first foray into fiction. The $70 registration fee includes lunch and a signed book. Register on Tom Douglas's website.

The Search for General Tso at SIFF
This documentary film about Chinese-American cuisine will have three showings at SIFF from the 16th through the 18th following a successful TriBeCa Film Festival premiere last month. Showtimes and tickets can be found on the SIFF website

How to Cook a Wolf Wine Dinner
James and Poppie Mantone of Syncline Wine Cellars will team up with chef Michael Gifford for a six-course meal highlighting their new white and rosé wines. Dinner starts at 6:30 with a starter of kusshi oysters and salmon roe paired with Scintillation Brut Rosé. Call 206-838-8090 for reservations.

Kiss My Grits Pop-Up
This farmers market newcomer also does pop-ups, and this week it's serving up a country boil at Bloom Restaurant in Ballard, starting at 6pm. Tickets for the $25 seafood feast are available online. Bib optional.

Oysters and Rosé at Anchovies and Olives
Chef Zach Chambers will be shucking, pouring, and toasting out on the patio from 1–4pm. Six to eight varieties of oysters will be available by the half dozen, dozen, or two dozen, and eight rosés will be available by the half glass, glass, and bottle. (Got all that?) Seattle’s premier food networking event will be on Monday, July 28 at Tom Douglas’ Palace Ballroom.
