Vincenzo Ippolito is hosting a five-course dinner with Via Tribunali at the spot in Capitol Hill. Along with dinner, there will be a selection of Calabrian wines, including the Ippolito 1845, the featured wine of the evening. Wines are also available for take-away. Free Hotcakes on a Stick
My Sweet lil Cakes is celebrating its first anniversary with some free hotcakes on a stick. Starting at 11, the crew will be giving away their sweet treats to the first 40 customers in Westlake Park, across from Westlake Center. 

Bar Cotto Birthday Celebration
This Ethan Stowell spot is celebrating its first birthday and pouring complimentary glasses of Lambrusco throughout the evening. Regular menu is available for diners. 

Valentine’s Day Dinners

Blue Ribbon Cooking Classes
The culinary center on South Lake Union is providing two different Valentine’s Day classes to choose from. Try the dessert wine tasting and truffle workshop, where you can create handmade truffles and taste test a variety of chocolate pairings with dessert wines. The class begins at 8:30 and it is $85 per person. Or go all out and sign up for the Cooking for Two class, and you can learn how to create a four-course dinner featuring fresh Puget Sound oysters with champagne cream sauce, fig salad, lobster tail, filet mignon, poached pears, and more. Afterwards, feast on your hard work with a lakeside view. Tickets are $155 per person and reservations are only available in pairs. SATURDAY, February 15

Downtown Brown
A new whiskey and bourbon tour has come to town at Local Craft Tours. On Downtown Brown, LCT founders and libation know-it-alls Tara Fuller and Craig Krueger will take you to three different distilleries. The tour includes exploring the distilleries, sipping on cocktails, tasting the spirits, biting on snacks made by award-winning chefs, and learning about the history behind the stuff. Transportation is provided in a swanky Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Tickets are $89 and come with a unique take home gift. 

Rat City Rollergirls’ After Party
Join chef John Howie and SPORT Restaurant and Bar after every Rat City Rollergirls’ bout for food and drink specials and the chance to mingle with skaters. The party starts when the game finishes and continues until midnight. SPORT will also be giving away two tickets at each party for the following RCRG bout at Key Arena. SUNDAY, February 16

Speed Rack Seattle
Come to the Century Ballroom and watch the leading libation ladies do their work as fast as they can to benefit breast cancer charities. Contenders include LaShann Ross from BOKA, Alena Harbin from Agrodolce, Missy Cross from the Sun Liquor Distillery, and more. Audrey Saunders, cocktail journalist Robert Hess, cocktail consultant Ben Carlotto, and Rob Roy’s Anu Apte will be judging the women based on prep time and accuracy of the drink. Miss Speed Rack Seattle will receive $500 honorarium towards travel to New York for the national finals. The festivities begin at 3 and tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Oyster Brunch at Delicatus

Saint James Benefit Dinner
Re:Public’s
James Sherrill, Jason Wilson of Miller’s Guild, Local 360’s Steve Navarre, and more are creating a five-course dinner benefitting Matthew Farrer. Since October 2012, Farrer has been battling colon cancer and his friends are setting a fundraising goal of $50,000 to help with medical bills. The event will be held at 1927 Events downtown and begins at 6. Tickets are $120 and can be purchased online. Donations are also accepted online. 

MONDAY, February 17

Sausage Making 101
Join chef Josh Nebe of Dackel and Radiator Whiskey and learn the fundamentals of sausage making at The Foundry. He will be teaching the class how to make using standard KitchenAid with meat grinder and sausage maker attachments, as well as the anatomy of force meat, and introduction to some well know German sausages.The demo and hands-on class is $79 and starts at 6.
