Forget the radicchio and rutabaga, the Columbia City Farmers Market opens today with thick bunches of asparagus and other seasonal goodies. The market is open every Wednesday from 3 to 7 through October 17. And be on the lookout for more: The Broadway market is now open every Sunday from 11 to 3, and coming at the start of June are the Phinney, Lake City, and Magnolia bazaars.

Today Wild Ginger and the Triple Door roll out the first installment of a new series dubbed Whole Local Lamb Specials. Chef Jacky Lo has developed three dishes using every usable part of a whole lamb sourced from Shibui Farms on Vashon Island.
The tasting room at Two Beer Brewing has expanded its hours by opening on Tuesday from 3 to 8. And starting June 1 food trucks, including Skillet and A Lunch in Hand, are set to park at the brewery on Fridays to nourish hungry tour takers.
Bin on the Lake debuts a winemaker’s happy hour this Thursday (and every Thursday following) from 5–7. Happy hour includes food and drink deals, plus the chance to rub elbows with makers from Covington Cellars, Brian Carter Cellars, and Forgeron Cellars, to name a few.
