H Mart, that dazzling, overwhelming, amazing Korean supermarket, has three new locations in the works, including one downtown at Second and Pine, in the old Nordstrom Rack space. Think of it like the Korean version of Uwajimaya; about 40 percent of the stock is Korean, with plenty of other Asian staples, as well as meat, fish, and both Asian and American produce.

The Seattle store and another one in Bellevue (I'm finding out the specific location) are set to open in late fall. Meanwhile, a 43,000-square-foot H Mart opens this Thursday in Lakewood, at 8720 S Tacoma Way. Doors open at 11:30 and regular hours will be 8am to 9:30pm.

Fun fact from the H Mart press release: The name is short for Han Ah Reum, which means "one arm full" in Korean. H Mart also has locations in Federal Way and Lynnwood.
