Garrett Michael Brown is hopping kitchens again. The peripatetic chef departed Branzino last weekend and wasted no time in landing a new gig: Brown is now the executive chef at Fonté, the coffee-shop-and-more in the Four Seasons.
Brown came to Branzino in late 2011, intent on restoring the Belltown eatery to its buzzworthy days (and it seems he did just that). Previously he was at Oddfellows, and briefly Terra Plata, but it was his work at the shuttered Verve that had restaurant folk smitten (including Seattle Met critic Kathryn Robinson, quite regularly).
What prompted the departure from Branzino, Brown didn't say.
