Elliott’s Oyster House has reopened the former Steamers space on Alaskan Way as Elliott's Seafood Café; large windows are filled with oysters on ice, waiting to be shucked, and locals and visitors alike clamor for sidewalk seating.
Inside, a shiny new bar serves up cocktails, oyster-friendly wines, and local pours like Manny's and beers from Maritime Pacific. Outside, a row of alfresco counter seating offers a window on the oyster action, while a new outdoor seating area offers ridiculous watery views, as well as people watching. Now that Seattle has entered its narrow window of reliable(ish) summer weather, the space has been consistently packed.
The café is open the same hours as Elliott’s Oyster House. Sorry, but the mothership’s life-changing oyster happy hour deal doesn’t extend to the new space.
