IF THERE’S A GENERALIZATION to be made about Seattle bars, it’s that they defy stereotypes. The snooty salon turns out to have a killer vibe. The dirty dive mixes the finest martini in town. How is a thirsty Seattleite supposed to know where to go? Leave it to the intrepid imbibers at Seattle Met. We spent months giving hundreds of local bars their (happy) hour in court. Crummy job, but someone had to do it.

The result is the definitive guide to drinking well in this town, well drinking in this town, and, well, drinking in this town. It’s an occupation we came to rather enjoy. Read on and you will too.
