This summer, boutiques along the West Seattle Junction are staying open after hours on Thursdays.

What: Do your plans for tonight involve takeout and 30 Rock reruns? You might consider rethinking them.

Shop Late Thursdays, a summer-long initiative wherein 19 stores at the heart of West Seattle—including Carmilia’s, Capers, and Easy Street Records —have agreed to keep their doors open and their cash registered fired up until 9, start tonight.

So instead of boob-tubing it, you might be shopping tropical plant terrariums at Fleurt, or indulging in a bite of chocolate and a glass of bubbly at Clementine, where they’re also raffling off a Prairie Underground top.

Locally designed summer sandals for little ones are 40 percent off at City Mouse Studio, and Queen Bee handbags and wallets are on sale at Click! Design that Fits.

When: Starting tonight, June 23, and running every Thursday until Labor Day.

Assuming that one or more of you got engaged on Saint Valentine’s Day (shout out to J.K.!) — and assuming that several more of you are hoping for a summer wedding but haven’t managed to nail down a date yet, I am pleased to bring you this pretty amazing list of ceremony and reception opportunities around Seattle and beyond.

More than 40 of the top celebration venues around town responded to our call to submit any and all available Saturdays for June, July, and August. Those dates are here, along with some significant opportunities to save — simply because you’re a reader of this blog.

Really important things to keep in mind before you go any further:

1. This is what’s available now. At press time, as we like to call it. Things change rapidly, especially after posts like these. Don’t wait too much longer, huh?

2. It’s safe to assume that those who have Saturdays available also have Sundays and Fridays — and you know, Tuesdays at noon — available, too. And it’s safe to assume that Sundays, Fridays, and other non-Saturdays come with a budget price tag. Don’t see a venue you’re curious about on this list? Chances are good that they’re booked for the summer.

3. We asked venues to provide us with available Saturday – we did not stipulate Saturday afternoons or evenings. Please be advised that the opportunities here may be limited to one end of the day or another – do not assume that availabilities refer to evening and/or afternoons. Consider these leads, and follow up with specific questions.

4. Be advised that the amazing special offers below relate to the dates specified. Don’t assume you’ll get that $200 off if you eventually find out the venue has openings in November as well.
