Chang says quartz crystal is the master healer and the stone of power. Know someone who needs balance, clarity and focus — or maybe just some positive vibes?

All pendants are available singly for about $20 to $40 each. Make yours as extensive or simple as is desired. And consider asking about the leather cord instead of chain if your giftee is a he — or just, you know, into that kinda thing.

Chang’s feather earrings are $30 each for one tuft of feathers, or $40 for a double-decker feather look. I love the idea of wearing one of these opposite a simple diamond stud.

An assortment is available at Square Room

Even Zac Posen has a diffusion line, so why shouldn’t Regina Chang?

The local jeweler, who is sold at SAM Shop and Hitchcock, among others worldwide, typically crafts gem-studded, nature-minded, smartly engineered necklaces and earrings that call for triple-digit price tags. But in response to this season of scale backs, she’s teamed up with the Square Room on Capitol Hill to offer two nice-price collections.

First, for the well-intended but not exactly industrious do-it-him/herself-er (takes one to know one): Chang’s customizable pendant necklaces. Select a stone here and a symbol there, and have the designer pull together the perfect piece for your favorite armchair designer, woo-woo dabbler, or accessory fiend.

Ready-made options are available, too, but there’s something pretty magical about knowing just what it is your giftee needs, cosmically speaking, and being able to clasp it around their neck for them. Check out the slideshow here for tips on energetic properties because hey, if you can give the gift of 70s-inspired naturo-glam and inner balance, why wouldn’t you?

And, for the real Freebirds on your list - those classic rockers who still believe in the Age of Aquarius and the power of a perfectly faded, super-shrunken denim jacket against the harsh wind of reality - one of Chang’s earrings.

Yes. One.

They’re meant to be worn as singles; your giftee will wear one dazzling feathered friend alone and make up his or her own meaning; red confers passion and green attracts healthful new beginnings because they say so.

I mean, again, why not?

Check out the slideshow for more, and then hit Square Room for the real deal. And take note of the liberal use of “his or her” in this post; I can see dudes rocking Chang’s pieces for sure. In fact, I want to see dudes rocking Chang’s pieces. The single earrings, and the pendants. Let’s make it happen.

And yeah, you guessed it: I’ll be back all this month with gift ideas galore.
