Luly’s Next Top Model
You fifteen minutes called, they’re waiting for you at Luly Yang’s first model call
So you think you can walk?
Get your 5×7 headshot ready and plan to be at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel’s Metropole Room on Monday February 8 between 10am and noon. Local designer Luly Yang, she of the dramatic ball and wedding gowns and those other Tiffany blue windows, is looking for women between 5’8" to 6’0" who wear sizes 2,4,6,8.
And I quote, “Luly’s dresses and runway models are hour glass shaped in comparison to New York fashion designers, who require size zero (0) models.”
Those selected will wear Yang’s designs on the runway in May as well as in her fall production next October.
Don’t forget to smile with your eyes.

So not sure you would know this, but what happens to all of the Top Models after they win? Do any of them make it big? Always been curious about that.
One of them has ended up on this season of VH1’s Celebrity Rehab along with Tom Sizemore, Mackenzie Phillips, and Heidi Fleiss, the Hollywood madam.
Hilarious, Jess. Then there was also the gal who married the Brady …. Yeah, as a rule, you don’t really tend to ever see them ever again except in those Maybelline commercials. Though I will say I saw one winner in Nordstrom’s Designer Preview (the big deal runway show they do each spring with models from LA and NY) and (this is really random) I saw one in a print ad for Apple Bottom jeans. I think the only models who fair worse are the ones on that show that comes on after Project Runway.
