Oh, to be young again.

It’s a curious feeling, looking at a tiny sweater made for a two year old and thinking, Oh, I need to have this for myself. That can happen a lot at Flora and Henri, so be prepared. It definitely happened to me when the store’s Sarah Harlett identified this boatneck vest from the line’s fall/winter collection as one of her favorite things. Can I get those shoes, too?

I’d also take the charcoal crawler (second slideshow image) from Flora and Henri’s year-round all-cotton collection. Too bad it’s only available up to size 24 months. The sweater vest, on the other hand, is made for little ones from 12 months to ten years. Just missed the cut-off. Drats.

There are two Flora and Henri shops; one on Capitol Hill and one in New York City. If you’re somewhere between the two, give yourself some time to click around their website. Talk about adorable.

Since the economy crashed, many a children’s boutique atelier eschewed new collections altogether … so F & H’s release this week of their finely tuned, always exquisite fall collection put the color back into my cheeks. This boatneck sweater was my absolute favorite. Amazing!
