The rumors have been flying, and the rumors turn out to be true: Murray Stenson is no longer planning to tend bar at RN74 Seattle when it opens.

On May 26, we first learned that Stenson planned to leave his decade-long post at Zig Zag for RN74.

But earlier this week Eater Seattle’s Allecia Vermillion was told by a restaurant employee that Stenson was no longer with the company.

Now, Mina confirms that Stenson will not be behind the bar when RN74 opens. Here’s the quote I was given via an RN74 rep:

“Murray informed us that due to personal circumstances, he needs three months before he’ll be able to bartend. We are continuing conversations with him and we are both enthusiastic to work together in the future. Please feel free to speak to Murray further about this.” -Michael Mina
