Huge news:

Been sitting on this one for days but I just received confirmation from an
RN74 Seattle rep that the restaurant has hired away legendary bartender Murray Stenson from his post at the Zig Zag Café.

Will follow up with more information as soon as I have it.

Good for Murray. And good, I think, for the other great bartenders at Zig Zag, who now get to come out from under his shadow so everyone can see how amazing they are. Change is good.

Chas – I so agree with you. Murray is not the only reason I go to ZZ every week. I’m very excited for Eric and Ben, and know that they will keep doing the amazing work they always have.

While my first reflex felt kind of like finding out your parents are getting a divorce, after getting over the initial shock I agree with Charles.

Ben and Erik are both excellent bartenders and I think this will be a great opportunity for everyone to shine that much brighter.

Congrats are in order all around.

Erik now carries the torch and I’m happy for both Murray and Erik.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I agree Chas, this is a great move for Murray & Zig Zag. Congrats to you Jess for getting the confirmation and breaking the news!
