Which of the city’s best bars are open Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day? Hint: the staffs at Summit and Shadowland are my new heroes.

Recently, a local bartender emailed me saying he wished that I’d posted about which bars were open on Thanksgiving. Good idea, local bartender, but obviously too late now.
So instead, I dreamed up a list of places where one might want to drink on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, and gave it to Seattle Met’s illustrious, industrious, all around wunderkind intern Hayley Poole to investigate.
Here are Hayley’s findings, organized by neighborhood.
BALLARD
Hazlewood will be open Christmas Eve (12/24) and New Year’s Day (01/01), but is closed on Christmas (12/25).
Moshi Moshi is open New Year’s Day, but closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas.
Sadly, Sambar is closed on all three days.
BELLTOWN
Rob Roy will be open Christmas Eve but closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day. [CORRECTION: Rob Roy OPEN on New Year’s Day!]
Spur and Txori are closed all three days.
CAPITOL HILL
Linda’s is open Christmas, New Year’s Day (for brunch), and closed Christmas Eve.
Oddfellows is open Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day, but closed on Christmas.
Smith is open for New Year’s day brunch but closed Christmas Eve and Christmas.
Hooray! The Summit Tavern will be open all three days.
DOWNTOWN/PIKE PLACE MARKET
Café Campagne is open for lunch only on Christmas Eve, and is closed Christmas Eve evening, Christmas, and New Year’s day.
Union is open 4:30-9pm on Christmas Eve; closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day
Zig Zag is open Christmas but closed Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day.
SOUTH LAKE UNION
MistralKitchen is open Christmas Eve but closed Christmas and New Year’s Day.
WEST SEATTLE
Shadowland welcomes you on Christmas Eve and will open again at 8pm on Christmas, serving drinks only. It will also be open New Year’s Day.
Spring Hill will be open Christmas Eve but closed Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Remember, these are working holidays for your servers and bartenders. Please tip accordingly.

Post Restaurant & Lounge (1914 Post Alley) will be open Christmas Eve and New Years Day from 4pm – 2am. Closed on Christmas. If you need late night food, the kitchen is open until 1am (Sun-Thurs) and 2am (Fri-Sat) and everything is available for take out. Just saying!
Rob Roy is open on New Year’s day! Yes, after our NYE Marie Antoinette themed party we will be open at 5 pm on New Year’s day, bright eyed, bushy tailed, and ready to mix up some cocktails!
