Drinking News: Openings, Closings, and a Visit from King Cocktail
Here’s whats up in the booze world.
Just heard from Bottleneck Lounge owner Erin Nestor that her new bar called Tommy Gun “quietly opened for business” on Wednesday. A grand opening is planned for early April, details on that to come. You’ll find Tommy Gun at 1703 E Olive Way on Capitol Hill.
Also on Capitol Hill: Poquitos, a new margarita destination from the owners of Bastille in Ballard, opens Monday, March 28.
MyBallard reports that Vintner’s Annex has closed.
In industry news, “King Cocktail” Dale DeGroff is coming to Seattle early next week. The Cointreau-sponsored event takes place Tuesday, March 29 at Kathy Casey Studios in Ballard. More information here.
Also on Tuesday night: DishOnIt is hosting a launch party at Naga Lounge in Bellevue. That starts at 5pm; free stuff is promised.
This one is a ways off but I know some of you need to secure babysitters and whatnot: Liberty on Capitol Hill is celebrating its fifth birthday on Sunday, April 17 and is promising an “epic party.”
