Beer for the Fourth of July
Everyone loves that barbecue guest who shows up armed with excellent local brews. Be that guy with these beers.

I want you to be happy. I think drinking these local beers on the Fourth will help that happen:
1. Silver City Brewery in Silverdale makes great beer—one of their newest is the highly drinkable Ziggy Zoggy Lager. It’ll be very welcome guest at any Fourth of July barbeque you attend.
2. Fremont Brewing has been rolling out kegs of its Summer Solstice—an American pale ale—to some of my favorite bars over the past few weeks, giving me plenty of opportunity to delight in its crisp hops-forward (but not too hops-forward) flavor. They’ve captured summer in this brew, and you will delight in it. Speaking of kegs, you can order one directly from Fremont if your party is on the larger/boozier side.
3. Kolsch! If you are planning to eat light this Fourth—grilled fish, ceviche, fresh salads—you could do a lot worse than a Kolsch from Chuckanut Brewing in Bellingham, which I’ve been enjoying on tap at Seatown Seabar, among other places. Hale’s Ales’ kolsch is also nice—slightly sour, very sessionable—and it is widely available in grocery stores. In the off-chance that it rains on Monday, these beers bring their own sort of sunshine.
4. Elysian Avatar Jasmine IPA: Once a seasonal, this winningest of brews is now available year-round and that’s exactly how often I want to drink it. Pair with Asian-leaning salads—cabbage slaw with soy, sesame oil, and ginger; cucumber salad with vinegar and sesame seeds, etc. It’s also the right beer for yakitori.

I don’t think it’s called “Fremont Craft Beer”. Seems to me the name of the company is “Fremont Brewing Company”. Or as their website says “Fremont Brewing™”.
Corrected. Though, as you probably noted, the website also says Fremont Craft Beer, thus the confusion. But Fremont Brewing makes mores sense. Good talk, and thanks for letting me know, William.
