First stop: Beacon Hill.

For his new food truck Where Ya At Matt, Matthew Lewis worked with Kamala Saxton and Roz Edison of Marination Mobile to learn the ins and outs of street eatin’.

The newest four-wheeler to join the corps of curbside cuisine is Where Ya At Matt, a soul-food slinger with one Matthew Lewis in the driver’s seat. The Creole cruiser starts making the rounds Tuesday, stopping first in Beacon Hill outside the Pacific Medical Center Building.

Lewis, who comes to Seattle by way of New Orleans, has built a menu around the foods he grew up eating: featured are a variety of po’boy sandwiches, beignets, muffaletta, and roast beef with gravy. As for the must-try items, Lewis has a couple of favorites.

Lewis, a veteran of the Restaurant Zoe, Canlis, and, most recently, Toulouse Petit kitchens, has yet to nail down the rest of his schedule, but look for him in Georgetown on Thursdays and at the Saturday market Seattle Square. He’s hinted at Fremont and Interbay as other likely pit stops.
