The Coterie Room Opens Today in Belltown
The chef duo behind Spur and Tavern Law introduce their third Seattle project.
Eater Seattle brings news that the Coterie Room, the newest restaurant from dynamic chef duo Brian McCracken and Dana Tough, will open its doors today at 4pm.
The Second Ave space formerly belonged to Scott and Heather Staples’s Restaurant Zoe. Earlier this summer, Zoe joined the white-tablecloth flight out of tricky Belltown with plans to reopen on Capitol Hill.
Just around the corner from Spur, McToughen’s cocktail-centric gastropub, the Coterie Room has a “far different vibe” from the chefs’ first restaurant, according to Eater’s Allecia Vermillion, who shared photos of the space (pretty!) and has details on the menu, which features small plates, mains, and shareable, family-style dishes such as brined-then-sous-vided fried chicken and a Wagyu beef brisket with ricotta whipped potatoes.
Vermillion says lunch service starts next Monday at the Coterie Room; brunch will begin the weekend after that.
