Dining Out
A map of our favorites doing the $25 three-course thing.

That’s a lot of dots: Our favorite participants of Seattle Restaurant Week.
T-minus three days until Seattle Restaurant Week gets underway, that annual gustatory affair that slam-packs practically every joint out there and lures even the most agoraphobic of agoraphobes with nice cuisine at a nicer cost.
This year more than 100 restaurants are on board. That’s pretty awesome, if not a tad overwhelming. So if you’re having trouble deciding where to dig in first, we compiled a map of our favorite participants.
Feliz meal dealing! And don’t forget to reserve.

A local group of food lovers meets on the first Friday of every month to eat lunch and talk food. You should join them.

A lunch where people will want to talk about your steamed pork buns. Not like that! It’s a foodie lunch.
If you love food, you love to talk about food. And if you love to talk about food, your friends who don’t love food may tire, from time to time, of discussing pickled cauliflower and foie gras bon-bons and how David Chang better watch his dang back because your version of the Momofuku pork bun is totally sick.
Tell it to these people: Seattle Foodies is a local group that meets up to talk and eat food. On the first Friday of every month they convene for lunch: On June 4 they are gathering at Cantinetta. Chef Brian Cartenuto will prepare a special three-course feast, you just show up at 11:30, pay $25, and dig in (tax and tip are not included). RSVP on the website. Previous lunches have taken place at Dahlia, Steelhead, and Mistralkitchen.

Come in this week for three courses, served in martini glasses

Salty’s: Not just for administrative professionals
This week only, through Friday, April 23, Salty’s at Alki and Redondo are offering a unique lunchtime special: three courses—served in martini glasses.
For $19.99 diners will dine on seafood ceviche, then warm salmon and prawn salad, and finally tiramisu.
The ostensible reason for this promotion? Administrative Professionals Week, which of course you have circled in red on your calendar. But really, who needs more excuse than the dawn of spring and the onset of the noontime hungries to head for the shore for a drink of lunch?
