Parking Downtown is an unmitigated pain in the butt. Avoid all that by eating at these places.

Which Downtown restaurants have free parking? Ask and you shall receive, Ms. Robinson.

After reading Kathryn’s question on Nosh Pit this morning, intern Katie Ormsby did some “extensive research” of her own and came up with this list:

Anthony’s Pier 66 offers free parking at the nearby Art Institute parking garage.

Art Restaurant and Lounge in the Four Seasons whisks your wheels away with complimentary valet parking, though you have to buy dinner.

Brasserie Margaux diners park for free in the Warwick Hotel garage.

Elliott’s Oyster House offers free parking before 4pm at the Republic lot across the street. Bivalves for breakfast, anyone?

Il Terrazzo Carmine (it’s in Pioneer Square but whatever) has free parking after 5pm.

Dining at Le Pichet or the Virginia Inn? Park for free after 5pm in the Pike Place garage at 1531 Western Avenue.

Also, just for kicks, Chris Werner made a handy map of all these free-parking places. Know of any more? Don’t be afraid to share.

Dining Out

Downtown Restaurants with Free Parking

Yes, they exist. No, there aren’t many.

Andaluca

Park free; eat at Andaluca

Andaluca, the perpetually underrated Mediterranean destination restaurant in the Mayflower Park Hotel, is notable primarily for three things: Its exquisite steak preparations with the Spanish blue cheese Cabrales, its gluten-free menu—and its free parking. Yes, free parking. At Fourth and Olive, the heart of downtown Seattle.

Extensive research turned up just one other downtown restaurant offering that particular Holy Grail: Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley, the jazz club at Sixth and Lenora.

Are there others? (I said “extensive” research…not exhaustive.)

If so, do share.
