Fast
If so, it’s probably best to do so within proximity of a defibrillator.

It’s a funny moment in history. Fast-food restaurants, who just yesterday, it seemed, were touting the dubious nutritional assets of the near-foods that graced their menus, are now introducing products so shockingly unhealthy, they create a viral buzz that in turn draws customers to their restaurants.
Case in point: The Double Down “sandwich,” soon to be introduced at KFC, is two boneless chicken fillets (fried or grilled), two pieces of bacon, two melted slices of Monterey jack and pepper jack cheese, and something called “Colonel’s Sauce.” Ahem.
So…the chicken fillets are the bun. And it’s all over the internet. And if you want to see it for yourself, well, there are 10 KFCs in the Seattle area.

Hot wings—steaming hot wings—soon available at California Ave SW.

Steamy!

Wondering where to go when the wait is too long at Spring Hill? Wing Dome seems like a natural second choice, right? Okay no it doesn’t. But wings do taste pretty great with a pint of beer, this cannot be denied. And if you’re a skillful enough eater that you can take on a dozen in public, I tip my hat to you. Because if I eat wings, I have to do so at home in the dark, shades pulled down, wearing a bib.
Anyway, the local chain is firming up plans to open up a store on California Ave SW, and here’s when I have to admit that my primary motivation in telling you this is so that I could share this EXTREMELY STEAMY photo that accompanied the press release announcing the Dome’s new venture. Isn’t that crazy? Crazy steamy?

The Met Grill is bringing poutine to the menu, but it isn’t the first place to bring it to town.
Posted by: Jessica Voelker on Feb 11, 2010 at 02:56PM
Just got this press release from the Metropolitan Grill: “Inspired by the 2010 Vancouver Olympics which kicks off tomorrow, The Met is bringing the national dish of Canada to Seattle. ‘Poutine’ combines crispy french fries with a veal demi glace and…cheese curds from local cheese producer, Beechers Handmade Cheese.”
Now, far be it from me to discourage poutine, a dish that I love very much, from proliferating in Seattle.
But in the name of fairness I must point out that Smith has been serving poutine with Beechers for about two years. It’s the first thing I ever ordered there, and I never looked back. Oh and the Steelhead Diner also serves poutine with—you guessed it—Beechers cheese curds.
I’m just saying. Go Apolo!
