Potbelly Sandwich Shop Opens Downtown
This is the first store in Washington State.
Downtowners, behold your new favorite lunch spot. The Chicago-based chain with more than 200 kitchens is now toasting sandwiches at Fourth and Pike (next to Michael Mina’s RN74, slated to do it up Monday, June 13). That hoopla you hear is Midwestern and East Coast transplants freaking out: Potbelly is cherished in those parts.
When you go, do order a milkshake—they’re hand-dipped and served with a teeny butter cookie—and don’t be surprised if the lines stretch out the door and down the block.
Eastsiders, note the Bellevue outpost at 10680 NE Fourth Street is coming soon.

Nom Nom. Turkey on wheat, toasted w everything on it please…oh, and a ginormous pickle too.
Thanks for the awesome post – we actually opened yesterday! We hope to see you all soon.
sure wish you would offer delivery to Queen Anne. parking downtown is next to impossible for a quick in and out at lunchtime. I’m a huge fan of Potbelly but may not be able to enjoy your downtown location for now. Will do my best to check it out next week despite the headache and cost of parking.
Awesome news! I live in Ballard (ex-Chicagoan) and will be super-happy to head downtown for lunch at Potbelly’s! YUM!! It’s the best! Turkey on wheat, please and thank you!
The pictures of the food make it look like a Jersey Mike’s or Jimmy John’s…
When I travel to Cleveland I fly Southwest through Midway just so I can grab A Wreck during the layover. Potbelly is the bomb!
way better than jimmy johns. great stuff. fun signature brand from the midwest. brings back good memories
Donald, if you bank with Chase, your parking is validated for 2 hours at Pacific Place mall if you do a transaction or sit with a banker. I ate at Potbelly last week, it was delicious!!! Italian sandwich is awesome.
