Plum and Homegrown Serving Breakfast

Email

Two beloved new Seattle hotspots; two joints starting breakfast service. Who knew life before noon could be so fulfilling.

At Homegrown in Fremont the deal is breakfast sandwiches, from pastrami-hash with a fried egg to a turkey, bacon, toad-in-the-hole breakfast club. Homemade granola, fresh-squeezed juices, and the almighty Stumptown Coffee will round out the offerings at this sustainable sandwich shop.

Because after all, says co-owner Ben Friedman, “breakfast is the next frontier of sandwich environmentalism.” Look for it all to begin October 12, from 8am to 11am.

This weekend, Plum, the new global vegan sensation on Capitol Hill, launched its weekend brunch service with Latin-inspired dishes like Panamanian-style polenta with chili gravy and apple quinoa with Brazilian feijoada. And Bloody Marys and Mojitos.

Weekday breakfasts featuring vegan pastries and its signature crepes and—get this—a bottomless Stumptown latte with any entree purchase come with a heapin’ helping of free wi-fi.

Breakfast at Plum is Monday through Friday 8am to 11am; weekend brunch Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm.
