Seattle Food Cart Is Best in America

Good Morning America awards top prize to a local street-eats fave.

This morning on Good Morning America Weekend, Marination Mobile, Seattle’s own Korean-Hawaiian restaurant on wheels, was named the best food cart in the country. GMA had chosen Marination as one of four finalists in the contest after viewers nominated their favorite local carts. (The other finalists were Garden State from Portland, Oregon, Street Sweets from New York City, and Local 647 from Delaplane, Virginia.)

On November 21 the show aired a segment in which host Ron Claiborne tasted samples from the various carts (video below) and viewers voted for the winner. The results were announced live on the show this morning, November 22. Congratulations Marination, you’ve made us proud!

Congrats, Marination! I only ask this: why the hell would GMA hire a silly vegetarian as a judge of meaty sandwiches? she didn’t eat half the entries. silly ninny.

Finally something different, fun competition. But really does the blond need to go on and on about she doesn’t eat meat. Who cares Princess? As a reporter, aren’t you always supposed to remain neutral?

sorry…perhaps it is me…but these are all mobile food trucks. A cart is a much smaller operation. This does upset me a bit…I am glad a winner is from seattle though.
