Tom Douglas must be pretty busy running his restaurants, planning a new eatery near Etta’s at Pike Place Market, and partnering with Amazon.com on a kitchen-tools line. Still, according to web site TechFlash, Seattle’s most famous chef is also talking to Paul Allen’s Vulcan, Inc—which basically controls all of South Lake Union—about a new restaurant on Terry Avenue, inside “phase 4” (freaky) of Amazon’s new headquarters.

Ten buildings on six blocks will comprise the new HQ, which will cover a total of 1.6 million square feet.

From TechFlash:
“Douglas…said a South Lake Union location is further down the road. Asked if the future presence of thousands of Amazon employees is part of the attraction of South Lake Union, he said, ‘Without a doubt,’ but added that it’s also ‘one of Seattle’s beautiful growing neighborhoods.’”
