Black Bottle plans a second restaurant in Bellevue.

Black Bottle in Belltown is planning a second location on the other side of the lake, part-owner Brian Durbin (one of his partners is wife Nicole) confirmed on Monday.

Black Bottle opened in 2005 to a fair amount of hype. In its hot-spot era it was wall-to-wall attractive people stealing glances at one another and oohing and aahing over the “blasted” broccoli and seven spice shrimp. Since then it has seemed to enjoy a pretty consistent clientele including a lot of neighborhood fans, quite a feat when you consider the many tumbleweeds rolling through Belltown’s high-end establishments theses days.

The location for Black Bottle Bellevue is 919 Bellevue Way NE. I’ll be back with details—opening day, menu, decor details, wine list (the Belltown branch has a smart collection of offerings, mostly New World)—shortly.
