Helplessness Blues by the Fleet Foxes is out May 3.

Spin gives major ink to the Fleet Foxes in its May issue, dedicating the cover to a story detailing the creative hiccups they encountered while recording their sophomore album, Helplessness Blues.

In an online teaser of the article, the mag lauds the release, due out May 3, as “the year’s most beautiful album” and goes on to label frontman Robin Pecknold (he graces the cover, Reverb has a pic) “one of music’s sharpest new poets.”

The issue is out on April 19, but in the meantime Spin has a behind-the-scenes photo shoot that’s worth clicking through.
