Now that cooler weather is upon us, farmers market staple JuiceBox is taking things inside. The upstart of Kari Brunson and Brandin Myett is partnering with La Bête for a new "shop-in-shop" to launch early next month.

Brunson describes the setup as similar to Il Corvo, the downtown pastaria that shares a storefront with Procopio gelateria. On Thursday and Friday the duo will be stationed at the bar from 7am to 1pm. "You can sit and read a paper, work on your computer, or take a juice to go." The menu is similar to the one at the markets—the fresh presses feature appealing combos such as kale, pineapple, and blood orange or apple, beet, carrot, and ginger—with the notable addition of blended drinks and "hot elixirs": steamed potables of Asian pear, lemon, and ginger or spiced cranberry, plum, and beet.

Kale and ginger shots, liquid vitamins, and bottles of aloe water and lemon cayenne water round out the healthful experience. Expect daily specials as well.

On weekends Myett will work the bar from 10–3, juice cocktails at the ready to complement La Bête's new brunch. And for those who enlist in the JuiceBox cleanse program, La Bête will serve as a dedicated pickup station for the cold presses.

This all starts up November 8 and likely will continue through the beginning of summer, says Brunson.
