Hemingway would approve.

We're a city of Geeks Who Drink, who read silently en masse at the Sorrento, and play StarCraft in bars (it's BarCraft!), so it's only natural that we should pair literature with a pub crawl. For the debut Lit Crawl Seattle, City Arts Fest teamed up with small press fest APRIL and Litquake, a popular San Francisco festival, to organize a night of readings in bars and author appearances by some of the biggest names in Northwest literature. The crawl starts this Thursday, October 18, with happy hour at Culture Club and winds its way to Town Hall, the Hideout, and the Sorrento for the civilized Phase One of the evening...then moves on to rowdier venues (Babeland, Comet Tavern) before wrapping with an after-party at 9 at Hugo House. All readings are free and open to the public.
