Twihards and teenage boys, get excited: Two stars of the Twilight film franchise, Nikki Reed and Elizabeth Reaser, who play members of good-guy vampire clan the Cullens, will be in Fremont on
Friday Saturday to introduce a free outdoor screening of the second film, New Moon—and a clip from the upcoming third installment, Eclipse, out nationwide on June 30. It’s just the beginning of a new wave of Twi-mania (I’m trying to see how many words I can stick Twi- in front of), which means more rap battles between Team Edward and Team Jacob…I hope. The fourth and final film, Breaking Dawn, is slated for release on November 18, 2011.
Reed and Reaser have been enjoying a little extra time in the spotlight lately, especially since Vanity Fair ran a fairly stunning photo spread of several Twilight ladies clad in blood-red gowns in their July issue. Reed also enjoys more time onscreen in the third installment, as the back story of her character—bitchy "sister" Rosalie to Robert Pattinson’s brooding hero Edward—unfolds. Both Reaser (doting mom Esme) and Reed had fleeting roles in New Moon.
Expect a big turnout for the free outdoor screening, which is part of the Fremont Outdoor Movie series at 3501 Phinney Ave North. Doors open at 6; event starts at 8. Don’t forget a lawn chair.
