In keeping with the Monday morning sports news: Seattle rapper Macklemore and DJ-producer Ryan Lewis will be the guests of honor at a special Mariners night this Friday, August 31, at Safeco Field. Mack and Lewis are gearing up for the release of their first full-length album together, The Heist, due out October 9. (You can read all about it in our Fall Arts Preview.) And since Mack is something of an unofficial mascot for the Mariners, the ballpark will offer discounted ticket prices for Friday night's game against the Angels, a special baseball cap designed by Mack and Lewis (look: little Kingdomes!), and a meet-and-greet with the duo. Select tracks from the new album will be played throughout the game.

Per the release: Tickets are available at www.mariners.com/macklemore. View Reserved seats cost $15 (normally $20), limited to the first 500 fans. Autographs will be limited to the first 100 fans to claim special vouchers at Section 320 (beginning at 5:10pm); caps will also be handed out at Section 320. Autographs limited to one per person.

My, oh my.
