"I LOVE SEATTLE. The first time we played here was in 1987. Back then Heart would leave a basket for everybody who played here…. There are other places all up and down the West Coast where there has been no influx of money for years and years—tiny enclaves (we’ve played a few of those places, too), and that’s weird in its own way. So Seattle feels more like New York to me—it has stuff flowing through it; it’s part of the current, of what’s going on in America…. You walk down the street and it’s just this cool mixture of styles….you see it immediately."
