Brunswick and Hunt
Who are Brunswick and Hunt, you ask? Brothers Barry and Scott Rogel own the restaurant that just opened in Ballard on the same block as Delancey and Essex, but they are neither Brunswick nor Hunt. Rather, the season-specific restaurant is named for two fixtures refinished and imported from Winlock, Washington by the Rogels: The wood bar built by Brunswick Balke Collander at the turn of the 20th century and an oversized landscape painting called “The Hunt.” Eater Seattle has a look inside the space and here's a copy of the menu.

Cafe Solstice
It's officially back on the Hill, says Capitol Hill Seattle blog, making a timely, if temporary, debut on solstice weekend, then reopening hopefully in time for Pride.

Shiro has left Shiro’s
A few months back, sushi master Shiro Kashiba sold his remaining interest in the Belltown sushi mecca that bears his name, according to The Stranger. Now, Shiro is in search of a new palace in which to host his followers, and we should all hope he finds one soon.           

POP UPS

Ramen at Juicebox
Babirusa and Blind Pig Bistro’s Ryan Miller will be partnering with Juicebox chef Geneva Melby to serve ramen bowls and cold beverages tonight from Juicebox's 12th Avenue kitchen. Service of the small menu of noodle bowls starts at 6 and runs until the broth is all gone. Miller made a Facebook event to spread the word—go give him some love.

Porkchop and Co.
Paul Osher’s young Ballard restaurant has been open for lunch for several weeks, and now is prepared to unveil a dinner menu as well. Evening offerings include house pickled vegetables, sandwiches, spaetzle, steak salad, and a 9-ounce bone-in pork chop served in a bun. Whoa.

Shuga Jazz Bistro
Wayne Johnson, longtime chef at Andaluca, Iron Chef competitor, and most recently exec chef at Ray's Boathouse, has a new venture in the works in Renton. Shuga Jazz Bistro will serve Southern food and, as one might deduce from the name, will have live jazz several nights a week. Glenn Drosendahl over at the PSBJ has more details.

The Maple Bar
Maple Leaf Life reports that when Maple Leaf Bar and Grill closed three weeks ago, it was posted on Zillow as a business opportunity—not a real estate listing. That choice has seemingly paid off, as new owners (or pranksters bent on forcing false restaurant news reports) have posted a sign prepping the neighborhood for an August opening. The Maple Bar will be a neighborhood pub in the mold of its predecessor.

Lucia Italian Kitchen and Bar
Kirkland’s Italian eatery will soon have a sibling in Green Lake Village, reports Seattle Greenlaker. The indoor space will be large, plus they’ll have a 600 foot patio facing the lake. A weekend brunch menu is in the works, as well, meaning sunny Sundays in Green Lake are about to get a little better for those who like pizza, pasta, and lake views. That’s everyone, right?

Cederberg Tea House
The Queen Anne tea purveyors have gotten a year older, finally reaching a full 365 days of proving South African teas and baked goods to Seattle this Sunday, notes Queen Anne View. They’re bringing in Gumboot dancers, a dance form born in southern African gold mines, to perform at 1 pm as a celebration of their longevity. 

Copacabana Cafe
Pike Place Market’s Bolivian restaurant has occupied its space in the Market Triangle building for 50 years. In celebration, owner Martha Peláez Morrow—daughter of original proprietor “Don” Ramón Peláez, is offering a discounted menu with complimentary appetizers today and tomorrow.
