We feel no need to relive high school...now, John Hughes's idea of high school, that's a whole other story. (See also: Cameron Crowe, Richard Linklater.) It's hard to resist a screening of The Breakfast Club or a chance to see John Cusack hoist his boombox on the big screen in Say Anything. And what was that thing Matthew McConaughey said about high school girls in Dazed and Confused? Oh yeah...
Landmark Theatres and the Triple Door both seem to have the right idea this summer. They're screening a mix of classic and ridiculously quotable movies from the late '70s to today. Unironically.
