Urbane Featured Farm Nights
Every fourth Wednesday, Chef Audrey Spence will create a menu focusing on a different Washington farm. This week the spotlight is on Palouse Pastured Chicken, which specializes in USDA-certified organic chickens, and grass-fed, free-range eggs. Both chicken and egg contribute to the special menu: a traditional dish of fried chicken and mashed russet potatoes ($27), and deviled eggs ($9), which are served with roasted jalapeño and prosciutto. The drink special is a blueberry gin fizz ($8), and it's embellished with a whipped egg white. This menu will be available all day; no reservations needed.

Pig Roast at Fresh Bistro
Fresh Bistro's seasonal Hawaiian-themed pig roast starts at 6:30pm—that's when the pig emerges from its La Caja China roasting box. For just $20 per person you are encouraged to eat until you’re full, and pig out (sorry) on spam fried rice, Hawaiian style sautéed cabbage, and heirloom tomato poke. Make your reservations via Open Table, or by calling Fresh Bistro.

Free Pizza at Pagliacci Pizza in Magnolia
A visit from the mayor wasn't exciting enough; the celebration of the Magnolia location's remodel continues with free slices on Saturday between 11am and 4pm. That’s right: each customer can get two free slices, check-out the newly reopened digs, and listen to live music from the Rabbit Stew String Band. New and notable add-ons to the Magnolia location include: pizza-by-the-slice bar, a more spacious dining area, outdoor seating, and a wine and beer menu.

Chris Keff Cooks Farm-to-Table Dinner on Blake Island
James Beard award-winning Chef Christine Keff takes a break form her current gig designing the menus on Argosy cruises to do a five-course meal full of locally sourced proteins and produce (and wine pairings). Tickets go for $99, and guests will depart from Pier 55 for a 45-minute cruise to a garden on Blake Island.  Dinner includes king salmon, a pig that will be roasted in the ground that same day, and apricot tart with lavender ice cream for dessert.

SUNDAY, August 31

Salmon Chanted Evening
Tom Douglas's dinners in support of Victor Steinbrueck Park are back. Now in its third year, the Elliott Bay-facing picnic-style dinners offer salmon, seasonal side dishes, and live music in a beautiful park setting. Tickets can be purchased online, and are $30 per person. Since Tom Douglas restaurants donate all the food and dinnerware, 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Seattle Parks Department.

MONDAY, Sept 1

Tilth Eighth Anniversary Barbecue
Maria Hines once again turns to pulled pork and brisket to celebrate the birthday of her original retaurant . For one day only, Hines will serve up a completely new four-course menu of family-style barbecue for $50. A barbecue-inspired slate of drink pairings is $25. Other options on the menu inclue a watermelon salad with mint and feta, smoked potato salad, and sweet corn panna cotta. If last year’s sell-out was any indication, you should buy your tickets soon.
