City Dwellers: Contemporary Art from India
It turns out having over a billion citizens makes for fascinatingly complex urban life. Seattle Art Museum’s new exhibit City Dwellers: Contemporary Art From India drops viewers into modern India via photos and sculptures to see the various forces pulling the multifaceted culture in contrasting directions—Hindu religious ceremonies, Bollywood pizzazz, economic disparity in a newly industrialized country. Seattle Basketball Pro-Am
The Sonics may be gone, but Seattle native Jamal Crawford is making sure Seattleites still get a chance to see NBA All-Stars showcase their talents. Each summer the two-time Sixth Man of the Year winner brings his professional pals to Seattle Pacific University's Royal Brougham Pavilion for his Seattle Pro-Am, and the caliber of players attending increases with every passing year, including all-star names like Chris Paul, James Harden, and LaMarcus Aldridge.
