Target has tapped designer Joseph Altuzarra for its latest designer collaboration, set to debut this fall. The New York-by-way-of-Paris up and comer is known for his strong tailoring, feminine silhouettes, and easy sophistication.

Basically, he's got that breezy French chic thing down. See, for example, this silken wrap dress and sporty shearling jacket combo. Fingers crossed for its low-end counterpart.

The 50-piece collection will include womenswear, shoes, and accessories ranging from from $18 to $90—followed by lines and website crashes and a post-sale eBay frenzy. You know the drill by now.

Except that, as much as I love a budget-friendly Peter Pilotto sweatshirt, I have to wonder if we're all a bit over this noise. Case and point: I recently tried to hawk my Jason Wu for Target dress at Buffalo Exchange (remember, the one I was almost tackled over), and they didn't even buy it.

Regardless, we will be on the case when the lookbook is released. But for now you'll have to settle with this strangely dramatic promo video and a single sketch.

The collection debuts September 14 and will also launch on Net-a-Porter.com.
