This week: Doing good tastes good. Pick your beneficiary, from Boys and Girls Club to Food Lifeline and more.
WEDNESDAY, August 13
S'mores Days at Theo Chocolate
Theo's annual S'mores Days event is back, with $4 s'mores available from 12–6 at Theo's Fremont factory on Wednesday and Thursday. $1 from each purchase will support Food Lifeline's hunger relief programs. Graham crackers will be made on-site, and (surprise surprise!) so will the chocolate, including a new peanut butter cup flavor.
THURSDAY, August 14
In Vino Veritas at Via Tribunali
Terredora winemaker Daniela Mastroberadino will be at Via Tribunali's Georgetown location, pouring selected wines to pair with a five-course Italian meal. The $68 meal will start at 6pm with starters and Falanghina wine. Full bottles of all featured wines will also be available for purchase. Call 206-464-2880 to reserve your spot.
Pop-up-turned-restaurant Bloom will be celebrating its first birthday with weeklong specials. Shaved ice cocktails will be $5 all week long, and new menu items, including cauliflower curry buns and shoyu ramen, will make their debut. $50 gift certificates will be available for $40 all week long, and local guitarist Leif Totusek will provide live music on Thursday night starting at 6pm.
FRIDAY, August 15
Sunset Supper at Pike Place Market
$250 patron tickets and $125 general admission tickets are still available for the Market Foundation's 19th annual Sunset Supper, which will start at 7:30 on Friday. A complete list of vendors, from Aragona to Whidbey Island Ice Cream, is available online. The event will also include live music and meet-and-greets with local chefs, winemakers, and distillers. Proceeds will benefit the Pike Place Market Foudnation.
SATURDAY, August 16
Fadó Craft Beerfest
The downtown Irish pub will be pouring samples of more than 25 craft beers and ciders from North Coast Brewery, Deschutes, Seattle Cider Co., and more. Each $25 ticket includes a barbecue entree and a live set from guitarist JP Hennessy. Proceeds will benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer's upcoming walk in October.
Taste of Main
Wineries, breweries, distilleries, and restaurants up and down Bellevue's Main Street will open their doors this Saturday for tastings to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Bellevue via the Detlef Schrempf Foundation. Attendees can purchase $40 passports and $15 wine tastings online, for samples from merchants like Fran's Chocolates, Monsoon East, and Mark Ryan Winery.
