On the Boards Releases Its Ever Diverse 2014–15 Lineup
Prepare for another slate of local and international dance, theater, performance pieces, and more.
On the Boards scoffs at the phrase "stay in your lane." The venue's offerings swerve violently between artistic lanes, thrilling audiences in the process. The 2014–15 On the Boards season looks to keep up that tradition of being nontraditional. OtB again manages to balance showcasing local an international talent. For Seattle flavor, the space will host dance from Amy O'Neal (Opposing Forces) and Kate Wallich/The YC (Splurge Land) and music-infused theater pieces from Murphy Lachow Company (The Man Who Can Forget Anything), Ahamefule Oluo (Now I'm Fine), and Frank Boyd (The Holler Sessions). OtB turns its gaze across the sea with the season opening French/Belgian theater piece Germinal and the Argentinian film and theater hybrid Cineastas. The lineup also features some New York City artistic flare, including the return of choreographer Kyle Abraham, whose When the Wolves Came In will be performed on the Moore Theatre stage thanks to a partnership between OtB and Seattle Theatre Group.
