From 3-5 on weekdays, you can stop in for fresh-baked cookies and organic milk from a local Lynden dairy farm. And it's hard to argue with the price: three small cookies and glass of milk sets you back just $3.75.
Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery
This dessert darling of Ballard sees some teeming post-dinner crowd on the weekends. But during the 3-6 daily happy hour, you can beat the lines and score a $5 glass of wine or grilled chocolate—an intriguing dessert sandwich made with potato bread, dark chocolate ganache, and accompanied by a caramel dipping sauce.
Dilettante Mocha Café and Chocolate Martini Bar
The name says it all. Dilettante’s daily 5-7 happy hour has many creamy offerings that look like a brownie in a martini glass. We have our eye on the $6.50 sea salt caramel martini, made with chocolate truffle and fresh cream caramel sauce, vodka, and caramel Bailey’s for a guaranteed sugar buzz.
The prettily organized Queen Anne storefront is more oriented for retail than a sitdown experience, but what's this? A free artisan chocolate happy hour on Thursdays from 5-9pm? This week Chocopolis will dispense samples from Amano Artisan Chocolates, featuring bars with floral, bergamot, honey, and marshmallow flavor notes. When it comes to chocolate, these guys don't mess around.
