James Beard Award-winning chef Maria Hines’s Valentine’s Day menu will certainly assist in creating a special evening. Gluten-free and in love, or just looking for a good meal? Capitol Hill’s ciderhouse is serving up shareable platters for V-Day dinner suitable for parties of two, three, or four, with courses like Dungeness crab and kale gratin, steak Delmonico, and smoked onion rings. Cider, beer, and wine are also plentiful. $100 for two, $135 for three, and $160 for four.
Three courses plus dessert in this intimate Tangletown locale is sure to fit the bill for a romantic evening. Starters like fried oysters or poached spot prawns, and chilled lobster salad are followed by mains such as grilled lamb loin, seared scallops, or chicken with truffles. $70.
