Dinner Coming to Juicebox
Local chefs will be contributing to a series of weekly thematic dinners at the juice bar, and the lineup is pretty impressive.
Juicebox owners Kari Brunson and Brandin Myett are riding high on the fresh-pressed juice trend—particularly in the wake of all those healthfully fulfilled New Year’s resolutions—but they’ll soon be known for more than just a liquid lunch. On January 24, the duo will launch a dinner series, taking advantage of those evening hours the shop is normally closed.
Called AOPC, for “all others pay cash,” the series is a nod to a string of underground dinners Brunson and Myett started in 2010. The concept was the same: a single seated, multi-course dinner, served family-style, with a pre-paid ticket. AOPC 2.0’s first five dates are January 24 and 31, and February 8, 14, and 22. Dinner will start at 7:30, cost $90 (which includes tip and wine/beer pairings), and be limited to just 25 guests.
And while we’d be excited enough to eat food cooked by Brunson and Myett, the coolest part is that they’re calling on their many talented friends around the city, so each night will have a different theme and guest chef. The first event will feature a vegan Arabic feast by Taylor Cheney; Mike Easton will be cooking a Sicilian pescatarian menu on February 8; and the Juicebox couple themselves will be preparing a special Valentine’s Day dinner on February 14.
