THURSDAY, July 11
This event is back for its sixth year, bringing together wine, music, food and philanthropy in a norm-defying wine tasting event. Sample from more than 35 Washington wineries, breweries and distilleries, munch on offerings from local food trucks, and rock out to live music provided by winemakers who double as musicians. Because wine rocks…get it? Tickets are $35 and benefit Food Lifeline.
Martinique v. Panama: The Gold Cup Viewing at Bastille
Calling all soccer fans and rum lovers: Bastille is hosting the party of your dreams. Sip on the national spirits of Martinique and Panama as those two countries go head to head in the CONCACAF Gold Cup. The game will be shown on two screens and a projector, while Rhum J.M. and Ron de Jeremy provide the drink specials all night long.
Most bartenders will tell you that Averna is one of the staple amari in the game. That's why it's a pretty big deal to have Enzo Vogliolo of Averna for an intimate dinner at The Coterie Room. The Woodmark’s Third Annual ClamBake on the Lake
The ever-so-chic Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club and Spa is planning the perfect summer evening with its third annual ClamBake on the Lake, featuring traditional clambake fare, local microbrews, live music and picturesque lakeside views. Tickets are $49 and include one drink ticket for house beer or wine and all-you-can-eat fare. Challenge accepted.
SATURDAY, July 13
Bastille Bash and Madison Valley Street Festival
Channel your inner Frenchman and join in the Bastille Day festivities. The Madison Valley neighborhood is pulling out all the stops for a second year, with French inspired food from notable Seattle restaurants, wine/beer/spirit tastings, live music, street performers, sidewalk sales and more… phew! Best to buy the Wine Passport, which includes tastings of wine, beer and spirits from each supplier at just $20 per person. All proceeds benefit the Children’s Response Center.
SATURDAY, July 13
Dragon Fest $2 Food Walk
International cuisine lovers, take note. Restaurants across the International District are coming together to offer a variety of samples from China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia for just $2 each. The fest runs Saturday and Sunday.
SUNDAY, July 14
Riesling Rendezvous Grand Tasting
Attention riesling lovers—heaven has come to earth at Chateau Ste. Michelle. Joining what's billed as the largest riesling-centered event in the United States are 70 wineries from seven countries around the world. The evening will showcase the diversity of riesling from specific regions, but many winemakers will bring a surprise wine from their estate as well. Food trucks will supply riesling-friendly food, and the Josh Rawlings Trio will provide the live music. Tickets are $75, with limited VIP availability for $100.
