Up-to-the-Minute Food News

Sorry, guys—I'm guessing the flags aren't part of the delivery experience. Photo via Bimbo's.

Somehow, Seattle food delivery remains a rare beast, especially on Capitol Hill, and especially since the demise of Lucky 8's over at 14th and Union. An unlikely but welcome newcomer to the it’s-raining-I’m-lazy-bring-me-some-food fray—Bimbo’s Cantina.

Owner Jeff Ofelt says that bike messengers now wend their way around Capitol Hill with Bimbo’s signature giant burritos between 5 and 10pm every day. There’s no delivery fee, but there is a $20 minimum, so make sure you’re really wasted, or have someone else on hand to share in the order.

Hit up the restaurant’s website, click the “Place a to-go order” button, then go through GrubHub. If all goes well, says Ofelt, Bimbo’s will expand the hours and delivery area. Right now boundaries are Aloha, Jefferson, 19th and Bellevue.
