The Latest Styles and Stores

Once a year the Nordstrom Designer Preview takes over Pier 91 for a fall fashion show hosted in its hometown, bringing out our city's best dressed and most sartorially inclined for a night of chic catwalks and pre-fall shopping.

The July 11 event benefited the Seattle Art Museum and its current Future Beauty installation, raising $150,000 for the museum. This year's show also marked the first ever Vogue-sponsored NDP and the magazine's West Coast fashion editor Lawren Howell served as host.

Howell's fall trend forecast: discreet chic, statement coats, updated evening, menswear for women, and '40s, '50s, and '60s glamour.

But if there's any overarching theme for fall, it's luxe, textured fabrics. "Even if it's just a black dress we're interested in opulent textiles this season," Howell told us.

Pour through our slide show to see Nordstrom's edit of trends for our autumn closests, and check out our exclusive backstage shots and off-the-runway street style.
