Store Closing: Bitters Co.
Fremont's world-sourced gift and home shop is shuttering. But first: A sale.
Serious bummer. First the news about Liave, now this.
I stopped into Bitters Co. last week while shopping around Fremont and Michelle Perkins, who is often presiding over the shop with fun-loving grace, told me the news: June 1 will be the last day for the gift and home decor store's brick and mortar.
Save Saturday, May 18 for a sale and silent auction, and general feting for the years of wonderfully reinvented materials, rich textiles, artisan-made jewlery, and gorgeous pottery. The goods get marked down that morning and become progressing discounted as the day goes on. Ten percent off between 11 and 2, 20 percent off between 2 and 3, and by 5p they'll be at 50 percent off. At 6, many items will be available in a name-your-price silent auction type scenario.
If you're looking for an excuse to head north for a rolling hills and rustic home wares daytrip, gather up more info on the Saturday, June 22 barn sale in Mount Vernon while you're there.
In the meantime, bookmark Bitters' website, which'll be your source for Katie and Amy Carson's' picks once their sweet little shop is gone.
