In January Richard Blais, the gel-happy Top Chef alum from Atlanta, was in Seattle as part of a then-unknown partnership with a locally based company. Speculation ensued: Was it Starbucks? Amazon? ChefSteps.com? The Myhrvold lab?
The company, it turns out, is Dry Soda.
Per a release sent out Tuesday morning Blais is the popular pop brand's new creative director, meaning he'll consult on flavors as well as "recipe and cocktail innovation." It's the first time the company has worked with a chef in this capacity, apparently.
Dry Soda—no stranger to media savvy—is also calling Blais a "culinary ambassador," which we assume means plenty of shilling on his part.
