Cooking Class with Rachael Coyle: Vietnamese Home Cooking
Chef Rachael Coyle will be cooking up some Vietnamese street food dishes at the Book Larder, inspired by recipes from Charles Phan, like pork and shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce and green papaya salad. The class includes dinner for $65 from 6:30 to 9. Make reservations online.
THURSDAY, March 21
tasteBOKA- Vintimate Wine Dinner with Sparkman Cellars
Boka restaurant and bar announced the lineup for a new series of culinary, wine, and spirits events called tasteBOKA. They include interactive classes and tastings; pricing varies by event and advanced ticket purchase is required. Seattle's Best Damn Happy Hour
The epic happy hour at Seattle Center's Armory returns for its second outing from 5 to 8. Sip blueberry-ginger punch or a Pink Greyhound and sample specially priced snacks from places like Skillet, The Confectional, and Plum Market.
SATURDAY, March 23
Start the day off with a panel discussion about the art of blending or the cider revolution, then watch cooking demos from chef Jason Wilson of Crush or pastry chef Kim Mahar of RN74 at the Viking Chef’s Stage, all the while sipping on premiere wines from over 200 wineries with food pairings from 50 of the finest restaurants around town. The Saturday and Sunday events take place at the CenturyLink Event Field Center beginning at 11 each morning.
Baking Class with Rachael Coyle: Short & Sweet
In celebration of the debut of the US edition of Australian Dan Lepard’s UK baking cookbook (got all that?), Coyle will be making sticky toffee apple buns, English muffins, spelt and ginger cookies, and crème fraiche treacle caramels in this morning class beginning at 9:30 at the Book Larder. A Belgian Feast
The Pantry at Delancey is cooking up a mouthwatering Belgian-inspired dinner complete with seared duck breast on cauliflower fritters, beer-braised rabbit with juniper berry, and Liege-style waffles with apple-pear compote for dessert. The previous two nights are sold out, so act fast to reserve a spot for $90, which includes a tip and beer pairing with each course.
11th Annual Hard Liver Barleywine Fest
Featuring beers from 55 breweries from around the country, including Big Sky, Fremont, and Deschutes, Brouwer’s Cafe will open its doors at 11am on Saturday and Sunday to celebrate.
Seattle Center’s Exhibition Hall hosts a healthy vegetarian food festival on Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 6. Taste, see, and hear what it means to be vegetarian with free samples, cooking demonstrations, and talks from medical doctors. Books will be available for purchase, and free first come first served health checks.

Seattle’s French Fest
This free, family-friendly celebration of French-speaking cultures kicks off at the Seattle Center’s Armory/Center House at 11am to promote and raise awareness of Francophone traditions. Experience live music, theater and dance performances, informational seminars, and taste international cuisine.
Elissa Altman: Poor Man’s Feast
Award-winning writer Elissa Altman will read from and sign her new book that explains how her relationship with food transformed from her fancy childhood in New York to learning about simple living from a small-town Connecticut Yankee. The book includes 27 recipes from her journey, which she will share at the Book Larder at 11am.

Cooking Class with Chef Jason Wilson
