Alrighty lads and lasses, St. Patrick's Day is nigh. Tradition merits a roundup of beer-fueled bashes, but in the interest of keeping things classy we thought we'd focus more on the food. So, below, a list of establishments and events where opportunities for feasting await.
This year this meatiest of events falls on the 17th—though it's pig they're pushing and not corned beef. Still festive flourishes are promised including green beer, so all's not lost on the celebratory front.
The bar's ample whiskey selection guarantees a scene on Sunday, so if you'd rather steer clear stop in any time this week for a number of Irish classics: carved-to-order corned beef sandwiches, shepherd's pie, Irish stew, and more.

Mulleady's Irish Pub
Come in for breakfast between 9 and 3—Irish eggs benedict with corned beef and housemade scones seem an appropriate thing to order—then come again for dinner. The mulitcourse meal starts at 5 and costs $40. You might want to reserve a seat for that one.
Pike Brewing Company
Okay, so the bash here is more about the beer (Kilt Lifter will pour for $3.50 a pint) but there are several food specials worth noting. Irish lamb stew is simmered in stout and of course there's corned beef and cabbage, which is served with Pike XXXXX. Available Saturday and Sunday.
Stop in from 5 to 9 for a plate of Painted Hills corned beef. For $20 it comes with cal ceannann (aka mashed potatoes and root veggies), braised cabbage, and soda bread. Other specials include Guinness ice cream floats and manhattans made with Irish whiskey.
Volunteer Park Cafe
There's corned beef here too, and also soda bread, shamrock cookies, and festive cake. Green beer and Irish mimosas will flow all the weekend long.
